Programs for July 16, 17, 18- update for Salatul Jumma
Please note that as soon as moon sighting confirmation has been ascertained, it will be mailed out to the community members.Programs for this week to be held at 81 Hollinger Crescent (the IHS Centre) are as follows:
1) On Thursday, July 16th (29th of Ramadhan), we will be holding the Thursday night program and potentially the last night of the Month of Ramadhan. Program to begin at7:00pm with Surah Yaseen, Dua Kumayl, Dua al-Iftitaah, followed by the Majlis byShaykh Saleem Bhimji. We will conclude with Ziyarat Warith and Salat-e Maghribain in Jama'at.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE POTLUCK IFTAAR AFTER SALAT. ALL FAMILIES ATTENDING ARE REQUESTED TO BRING SOME FOOD TO SHARE WITH OTHERS.
Please note that there will be a class for our children aged 7 to 13 years in the library taught by Sr. Alina Amiri.
NOTE: There will be an Eid Bazaar on Thursday July 16 to Saturday July 18 at the Centre. Abayas will be on clearance from $25! Limited pieces available! There will also be henna being done and sold, as well as household and hijab accessories. Everything must go; crazy prices! For more information, please contact Sr. Mehdiya Hudda.
2) On Friday, July 17th (30th of Ramadhan - or possibly 1st of Shawwal), Salat al-Jumuah will begin at 1:25pm led by Shaykh Muhammad Assad Dharsi.
3) EID PRAYERS: Eid may fall on EITHER Friday July 17th (very small possibility) orSaturday July 18th.
Whether it falls on Friday or Saturday, we will have ONE session for Eid prayers as follows - Dua Nudbah to begin 10:00 AM followed by Salatul Eid at 10:30 AM led byShaykh Saleem Bhimji - STARTING with Salat followed by the Khutbahs for Eid. The program will conclude with Ziyarat and Refreshments.
Please note: Zakatul Fitr has been set at $10.00 and we have attached FAQ written last year for Zakatul Fitr which is applicable for this year. If you are going to pray Namaz Eid, please ensure that you have given your Zakatul Fitr for you and your dependents BEFORE you offer the prayers. We have attached a short document with Frequently Asked Questions on Zakatul Fitr for further information.
* All events held in the main hall of the IHS centre on the men's side and organized directly by the ISJ of WW are broadcast live - barring any technical difficulties or AV co-ordinator or support not being present. If anyone wishes to be trained to operate the AV equipment and broadcasting, please contact us.
